There have been no fewer than 300,000 Oyo State citizens who have benefited from the free health mission that Omitutun is doing across the state.
In comparison to earlier periods of the outreach, the second quarter of it, which ended on Thursday at Ring Road Specialist Hospital in Ibadan, saw an increase in the number of eye procedures, dental treatment, and physiotherapy patients addressed.
Dr. Olusoji Adeyanju, the Permanent Secretary of the Oyo State Ministry of Health, expressed his excitement about the addition of dental care, eye treatment, and physiotherapy into the free medical outreach during his remarks on the campaign.
Adeyanju revealed that fifty percent of the people who profited from the operation were retired individuals.
“1, 639 people benefited from eye surgery, and free glasses were provided to those who needed them. Additionally, 262 cataract surgeries were performed successfully.” What warms my cockles is the fact that our governor has shown tremendous support for the initiative, as well as his good will.
“When we began the Free Health Mission in Omituntun 1.0, therapies such as dental care, eye treatment, and physiotherapy were not available; however, in Omituntun 2.0, we now have these services available.
