Safety and Health at the ASSP Safety 2023

We are rapidly approaching the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Safety 2023 Conference and Expo (Safety 2023)!

With the advent of COVID-19, attending an in-person conference and exposition seemed like a distant memory. However, it is now a thrilling actuality.

If you are physically attending Safety 2023 in San Antonio, Texas, the following information pertains to the health and safety requirements.

There is no requirement to provide confirmation of vaccination. Attendees will not be required to provide confirmation of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to enter the show, but “ASSP strongly recommends that you get up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations and applicable boosters,” according to its website.

Consider taking the COVID-19 test prior to flying (or driving). Although COVID-19 testing is not required prior to the performance, the organization “strongly recommends” it. Call the customer service personnel at +1 (847) 699-2929 if you test positive.

Although masks are not required, they are “encouraged.” You are not required to wear a disguise to attend Safety 2023, but you may if you wish.

Healthy practices are also “encouraged.” Some behaviors, such as social distancing, were implemented at the beginning of the pandemic, while others, such as hand cleansing and hand sanitizer use, are “encouraged” at Safety 2023.
