Lachin’s Family Health Center opened 2023

The Association for the Management of Medical Territorial Units (TBIB) has commissioned the Family Health Center in the Lachin district of Azerbaijan, according to Trend.

The Center consists of 15 rooms with a total area of 299.5 square meters: physician’s and nurse’s offices, a therapy and dressing room, rooms for vaccination and monitoring of infants/children, toddler care and breastfeeding, for monitoring pregnancy and reproductive health, a day hospital with five beds, for sterilization, laboratory services, a utility room, and a kitchen.

Each of these rooms is equipped with the required instruments and laboratory diagnostic equipment according to technical specifications, such as an ultrasound system, a portable X-ray, an electrocardiograph, a working desk, a desk for gynecological examination, etc.

The Center provides the following medical personnel for major surgical interventions: a surgeon, a traumatologist, a family pediatrician, a family therapist, an obstetrician-gynecologist, a midwife, a nurse, a laboratory assistant, and, if necessary, a mobile medical services team.

TBIB provided two fully-equipped ambulances to the Central District Hospital of the Lachin district in order to provide 24-hour medical assistance.

Between May 28 and June 2, 2023, a total of 53 patients received treatment at the Lachin Family Health Center.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev issued Decree No. 3587 on November 16, 2022, establishing the Lachin Family Health Center in accordance with the “I State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of Azerbaijan”.

In order to fulfill the responsibilities outlined in the state program, the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance has begun work on the establishment of the aforementioned center as part of the construction of the Lachin Central District Hospital, subordinate to TBIB, on the territory of the Lachin district, which is part of the East Zangazur Economic District, as of May 18, 2023.
